Hi. I’m Susie.
AKA Christian Wife Material
I had a friend over for dinner one night and I made her a dish that she described as “divine.” She then commented, “How are you still single? Seriously you cook like Christian Wife Material.” We had a good laugh and moved on with our lives.
Then, the next time I made an impressive meal, I texted her a picture with the caption ‘Christian Wife Material’. We chuckled again and I think she made a comment about creating an Instagram page to try and find me a husband. I ignored her antics, but kept sending her and few other friends pictures.
A few months later, I was struggling with burnout and my love of cooking and baking went out the window. Cooking became a necessary chore to keep myself alive rather than a thing God gave us to experience joy in this life. So, in order to inspire myself, I did what I never planned. I made that Instagram page and only shared it with a couple of friends. I never expected anyone else to look at the page.
Now, a bit over a year later, I thought, why not try and share this joy… the failures and the successes with someone, sharing what I’ve learned along the way, and the tools that have helped get me there.
Thanks for Coming
Susie

Welcome to Christian Wife Material—a place where faith, homemaking, and creativity come together.
I’ve been a Christian my entire life, and like many, I’ve wrestled with my faith. But through every challenge, I’ve realized that God and I have “come too far” for me not to trust Him. That deep-rooted faith has shaped my life, from doing missions work with orphans in Mexico to working with human trafficking businesses in Nepal. I’ve lived in three different countries, but Canada and the US are what I call home.
By day, I work in the mental health field, where I have the privilege of hearing people’s stories and walking alongside them. And in my own life, I’m always learning—figuring things out as I go, just like everyone else! The things I recommend on this site? I actually use them. Whether it’s a kitchen tool that makes cooking easier, a faith-based resource that encourages your walk with God, or an organization hack that brings peace to your home, I want to share what’s genuinely helpful.
